This Sunday is the Second Sunday after Easter. The Scripture lesson will
be from Luke 24:13-35. Why did the two men who had been in Jerusalem and
seen and heard all that had happened, not believe? Jesus was not what
they were looking for in a Messiah. They wanted someone to overthrow the
Romans and now he had been killed. It was not until He broke the bread
were their eyes opened.
What will it take to open our eyes?
